Fire in Santa Cruz Mountains

While The Central Coast Is Experiencing A Heat Wave Today, Fire Erupts In The Santa Cruz Mountains. Local News Reports And Cal Fire Do Not Have Cause At This Point. As Of 3:00 This Afternoon, The Fire Is At Roughly 125 Acres And Growing.

We have reports that the smoke can be seen from San Jose. Many were confused as to if the Soberanes fire had flared up. Unfortunately, you can see from the picture above, it is clear the fire is in the Santa Cruz mountains.

Meanwhile, the Soberanes Fire south of Carmel has reached 127,000 acres with a 78% containment. Progress is being made but local, state, and national authorities are still expereiencing containment issues due to the terrain where the fire is currently burning.
